Occupational Solutions includes adapting tasks and the environment to maximize independence and quality of life. The term occupation refers to activities that are meaningful to the individual within the environments in which the person lives and functions.
The goal of Occupational Solutions is to assist the patient in achieving the maximum level of independent function by mobilizing those capabilities, which remain after accidents, disease, or deformity. Patients include persons suffering from CVA, arthritis, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, hand injuries, amputations, burns, progressive neurologic disorders and people with visual, auditory and speech disorders and psychiatric problems.
